In the past year and a half I have gone through six cell phones. 6. I don't get bored with a phone and have to buy another one...I break them somehow (only once was really my fault). Phones just don't like me (okay...I guess I will take responsibility for the ones that I accidently dropped in water or washed with a load of laundry). Some of them though have just gone out on me. Maybe I have a wierd super power that is causing this?
On a happier note--Heath bought a doggy door insert for our back door so the dogs can go in and out. Normally, our dogs don't really care where they are when they have to 'go,' but so far--no accidents! It has only really been 28 hours, but I am impressed. Krypto was wary at first of this new contraption, but he seems to have gotten the hang of it. We bought it so we wouldn't have to worry about waking up so early (or staying up so late) to get the dogs outside. But the more I think about it, the more happy I am we got it. Arkansas summers are horribly hot and uncomfortable. With this door, the dogs can choose whether or not to be outside. They can get out to play, but rest in the (somewhat) airconditioned comfort of the house! Good idea Honey!
I had to leave church early today...I think I ate something bad. Heath stayed with the girls and then watched them this afternoon while I slept (Keali had kept me up until about 3 am). While I was at church though, there was a regular party in the Mother's Lounge. Keali got to play with some of the other kids around her age. Then the best thing that has ever happened to her happened. Daddy took her to the nursery! Keali is only 15 months old and nursery doesn't start until 18 months, but we wanted her to get used to the idea of not being with Daddy during all of church. According to Heath, he set her down and she took off for the toys--never glancing back. The leaders were okay with her being in there, and they didn't have any problems at all. She loved it!
Oh...and I almost forgot...Last night was our Ward's spaghetti dinner and Primary children talent show. Technically, Kalyn is not in primary. She is still in nursery, but she couldn't stand watching all of those children performing, and not be allowed to do it herself. I checked with Sister Baker and Sister Westmoreland who said, "of course she can perform!" Kalyn was dead set on singing something from "High School Musical." She doesn't really know the words too well though. I was dead set on having her sing, "I Hope They Call Me On A Mission." She sings that one beautifully. When it was her time to perform, we still hadn't made a final decision, but Sister Westmoreland suggested to Kalyn that she sing, "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star." Kalyn agreed and the result was magical. She sang to her Daddy, and got (I believe at least) the biggest round of applause. She loved it! It was beautiful and I actually teared up on stage. At the end of the performances, all of the Primary children got on stage to sing,"I Am A Child Of God." Kalyn joined them even though she doesn't know that song yet. She spent all three verses just standing there, yelling out, "Hi Mommy! Hi Daddy!" and waving to us. It was so sweet! (She didn't yell out except at the very beginning before the singing had actually started.) For her efforts, she was awarded a pair of star sunglasses and she loves them!
After the Ward activity, we went to Sam's to pick up an assortment of diapers for my Sis-In-Law Debi. Debi LOVES Garfield, and these diapers have Garfield and Odie all over them. So there we were walking in and out of Sam's with 12 boxes of diapers. You can imagine the looks we got. It was fun though and I am happy that Debi will have adorable diapers that she loves for her children. They are cute!
