I am often amazed at how quickly time passes the older I get. When I was a child the summers lasted forever and Christmas was always so slow getting here. The older I get, the faster time flies. I was talking to Kelly the other day. She asked how old Keali was now. I replied 14 months. She was shocked that she was over a year old and I had to admit that I didn't know where the past year had gone either. It seems like only a few days ago that I was bringing Kalyn home from the hospital. It seems like a few hours since I brought Keali home. It isn't fair that my children are growing up so fast. Tomorrow I will turn around and they will have children of their own. Ohhhhhh.
Our lawn is almost dry enough to mow. We are planning to work on the yard tomorrow and hopefully the ground will be dry enough. We really need to cut the grass before it rains again Friday. Our yard looks awful right now! For those of you who don't know, there is really no such thing as a real grass lawn in the south. You have a bit of grass...and a whole lot of weeds. Well...weeds grow a lot faster than grass does, so our back yard sort of looks like a forest for Knomes. It is a bit shameful, but what can you do? I can't mow the yard every other day!
It's been really chilly here the past couple of days too. I fear these are our last few days of comfort before the blazing sun of summer hits us. I am definetly enjoying the coolness while it lasts.
