Heath and I have spent all morning in the yard, mowing, planting, cleaning up. I got up before Heath and the girls, and pulled all the old mulch out of my front flower beds. After Heath got up, we went to move all of the old mulch to the back yard. When we realized it would take about 100 trips to take it all back there, we finally agreed to buy a wheelbarrow...we have been saying we need to for the past two years. I went to the store and bought a wheelbarrow.
Did you know that they don't come put together? It took me almost 2 hours to put the stupid thing together (while Heath mowed). At one point, I was really confused and Heath saw me. He gave me the most condescending look I have ever received and asked if I needed help. I really did--but I was still insulted by the look. He had to come to my rescue once more, then when he was done with the grass/weeds, he helped me finish the barrow. He said that it probably would have taken about an hour to move the mulch without the wheelbarrow. With the wheelbarrow, including put-together time, it took a bit over two hours.
I planted some plants that Mom gave me. I hope they live...I tend to kill most things green. In all, the yard looks really nice right now. We are ready for the rain in a couple of days. Then the process will start all over again!

I'm a little jealous of your energy...sometimes I feel like I want to plant something (and now that I have a house and a yard I actually could) but then I realize that I am tired. You amaze me! You are such a good mom and wife...and now you're a planter of plants? Your awesomeness never ends! I love you!
Don't ask me how I know this (not because it's mysterious, just because I really don't remember) but wheelbarrows are the hardest thing in the world to put together. I think I could build a nuclear reactor easier than assembling a wheelbarrow. Actually, I don't know how hard it is to build a nuclear reactor. Huh.
HEHEEHE, sorry I'm laughing at Jennifer's comment. Maybe she helped Grandma put hers together.
I'm sad you didn't get the job,but I'm sure Heavenly Father has bigger plans for you, but that means we don't we to see you, boo boo
I am so grateful for blogs, I don't think I would have gotten to know you otherwise.
We still have to do it in person:-)
