You know it is bad when 20 minutes into your day you are begging your spouse to let you go back to bed and start over again.
We slept in a little. That means that the dogs didn't get outside when they usually do. So...when we finally did get up this morning the poor dogs had relieved themselves aaaalllll over. So did the little one. Heath and I cleaned it up. I was finishing up the sanitization of the kitchen floor when Heath poked his head in and said, "Just when you thought it couldn't get get any worse." Keali's diaper had failed to do its job when it let everything leak into her bed. I asked if I could go back to bed and start over.
We put Keali in the bathtub and I stripped her bed down and started it in the washing machine. I then left for a moment and upon my return I found water flooding my kitchen. The hose to the washer had become disconnected. I don't know how. I called Heath to help me and we cleaned up the water (using almost all of our immense collection of towels. Just as I was finishing behind the washer, I thought to ask Heath to check the storage room to make sure that water hadn't leaked under the wall. It had, of course!
The only lucky thing about all of this was that the water had stopped less than half an inch from our 72-hour packs. Nothing was ruined and it was only water. Hopefully the rest of the day is better!

That's why I don't have pets. Or children. Or anything but a plant. And even that keeps me busy.
