For those of you wondering...today is going much better than yesterday morning!

Yesterday (after all the craziness) Keali said a meaningful "I love you" for the very first time. Who was the receiver of this much coveted statement of affection? Well, I can tell you that it wasn't the woman who spent 38 long weeks gestating this child. It wasn't the woman who was officially malnurished by the end (due to a baby that was taking everything from the food being eaten). It wasn't the woman who spent 8 1/2 hours in labor (that would have been excruciating but for the magnificent epidural I received 2 hours in). It wasn't the woman who has spent the past 12 1/2 months caring for said child. It was the father. I am not really that upset...I am just upset that I didn't get to hear it when Keali told her Daddy that she loves him. I would have loved to hear that, but how appropriate that it came so close to Valentine's Day?! Maybe I'll get it soon too!

It's raining, it's pouring...So that means that the dogs are confined to the indoors today. Who loves the smell of a wet dog? The dogs actually have access to our storage shed in the back to stay dry in, but Krypto has a rather sensitive respiratory system and a little bit of wetness sends him into a pretty bad cold with horrible sounding coughs (I have been know to scream when he coughs).

So, the Die Hard movies have been on tv recently (the edited versions, thankfully). I have never watched a Die Hard until last summer when Live Free or Die Hard came out. I loved that movie, so Heath DVR'd the first three for me to watch. I actually like them! Or is it Bruce Willis that I like? I have always enjoyed looking at him, but I really do like these movies. Who would have thunk it!

Guess what!!!!!! Kalyn has used "the facilities" all day long for the past 4 days. This is amazing! She still has used her pull ups at night, but during the day we haven't had any accidents. I am so excited! This is how it has worked so far...We are crazing parents and we spoil our children. That is why we bought 15-20 gifts for them for their birthday (after Christmas Walmart specials). We only had them open about half of them at their birthday party so we have had the extras hanging around. Heath got the bright idea of having Kalyn open a gift each time she stays dry/clean all day long. It worked. She got a gift for the first two days (she hasn't asked for one lately) and if she keeps it up for a full week, she gets to have a tv in her room (not to watch tv, but to use her v-smile and ion...learning video games). I hope she keeps it up. I have been trying to potty train her for the past 18 months.

Have a great day everyone, and

Happy Birthday Brad!!!

I always think the same thing when I read about Kalyn. She sounds hillarious! You should take a break from your rain and come enjoy ours. (c: Maybe Kalyn could give Kayli some tips on the whole potty training thing. Congratulations!
