Here is a list of my favorite things about the holiday season--in no particular order.
1. The colors everywhere. Red, gold, green, blue, silver. I love them!
2. The scent of baking cookies, cakes, pies, and candies.
3. Christmas music. In all fairness I will admit that I listen to Christmas music year round, but it is in season right now so I will mention it.
4. Store displays. They make me wish that I had decorating sense.
5. Eggnog. I love eggnog. Heath and Kalyn hate it so I get it all to myself!
6. Christmas cards. I love getting them and I love sending them.
7. Hanging out with family. Especially when there is nothing important to be doing other than spending time together.
8. I would say snow, but we don't get much snow here.
9. The old claymation movies about Christmas, and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
10. Shopping the day after Christmas. Everything is so cheap!
Oh, one last thing before I sign off. Heath was at the store with Kalyn yesterday when a woman asked Kalyn what she asked Santa to give her for Christmas. Without missing a beat Kalyn replied, "A Zebra." Where did that come from? We haven't even seen Santa yet!!

Something's up with zebras...Tristan (my friend Carrie's little boy, same age as Kalyn) asked for a Zebra too...does Kalyn watch much toon disney?
