Kalyn has introduced a new word to her vocabulary.  Supper.  According to Kalyn, everyday you MUST eat Breakfast, Snack, Lunch, Snack, Dinner, Supper, Snack.  She isn’t a fat kid, but she EATS more than I think she should.

Her newest thing is insisting that the evening meal she just ate is actually dinner, and she still needs supper.  To me, they are the same thing.  To her, they are different words, therefore they must mean different things.  Plus…it is another excuse to eat.

Sometimes I wonder if she is has that thing where her body doesn’t tell her when she is full, but I know she doesn’t.  If we simply refuse to feed her two evening meals (happens every night actually), she doesn’t starve, and after the initial tantrum, she is fine.  Weird though.

Today is my darling niece, Eva’s birthday!  Happy Birthday Eva!

I called her this morning and spoke with her for a few minutes.  She thanked me profusely for calling and wishing her a Happy Birthday.  Then she told me that they were taking cupcakes to school, and sometimes she feels shy when people sing Happy Birthday to her.  I asked if she minded if I sang.  She said I could.

After, when I spoke with her Grandmother, she said the whole time I was singing, Eva was smiling, blushing, and trying hard to cover up her face!  I wish I could see Eva and Emma more…they are such sweet girls!
