I just spent two lovely hours snuggling my Keali-Pooh! She was so sweet—especially since I am so hard to snuggle. I can’t believe how big she is getting.
Yesterday, I took Kalyn to school for her Dial 3 testing. I filled out paperwork while she tested. When we left, I asked how she did. She said in a very satisfied and excited voice, “I did everything they told me to. And I did it RIGHT Momma!” She was so proud of herself and I was proud of her too. Then she added, “I must really be a grown up girl now!” That made me sad. Yes. She is getting to be a grown up girl :(
I have been feeling the babies move an awful lot the past three days or so!! It is so exciting. More exciting is that Heath has gotten to feel them too! Last night, Keali was lying down with her head on my stomach while Kynan kicked her in the head. I don’t think she felt it, but it was funny.
After work yesterday, I drove home and found Heath and the girls waiting in the other van for me. I got in and Heath asked, “What do you want to do? It is your birthday night.” I’ve been passing not so subtle hints for the past three months that all I want for my birthday is a pedicure so Heath was fully prepared to take me to the salon. I changed my mind though. I couldn’t spend time with Heath and the girls at the salon.
So I chose to go to Build A Bear and make a bear for Kaci. A couple months ago, we went and made a bear for one of the babies (we didn’t know genders). We were really hoping for at least one boy, so we made a boy bear and dressed him in boxer shorts and a white t-shirt. He was really cute. Since we found out we were having a boy and a girl, of course our daughter needs her own girly bear!
So we picked out a honey-colored bear (the other one is really dark brown), and some cute matching boy/girl sleepers for both bears to wear. Kalyn and Keali both chose a heart to place in the bear, and both hugged, kissed, and rubbed the hearts before placing them in the bear. Heath got pictures with his phone, but I’m gonna have to wait to post them.
The girls really love Build A Bear—and I have to admit, if given the opportunity, I would go CRAZY in there and spend my entire salary! It really is a fun place. Then the girls washed up the new baby girl bear and we adopted her, paid, and left. We walked around Target for a little while, then went to eat dinner.
On the way home, we picked up Race to Witch Mountain at a RedBox, and watched it. I didn’t think I would like it much, but Kalyn has been begging to see it. I actually thought it was really cute and Kalyn loved it! It might be a buyer at some point.
Anyway, I got to bed really late last night and have to go to work in about an hour (still training!), but I had a wonderful evening with my three favorite people—plus two very wiggly babies. It was amazing. Thank you for the great night!
