Okay, okay. We are still alive. It has been a busy week! Last Friday evening, we left for our Welch Family Reunion. Heath wasn’t really feeling well, so I took care of the girls for most of the weekend (turns out he had a touch of appendicitis. Not bad enough for surgery, but he was very sick for a few days). We swam Friday night and set up our beds. We were fortunate to have all the Lambs except for Ronnie Jr. with us. It was INSANELY hot outside!! Thank Heaven the cabin was air conditioned!
This week, I’ve been preparing for hall director training (it will last from now until the end of August), and working with other things. Heath was feeling much better Monday and went to work teaching a CPR Certification class and basic first aid skills to faculty at the school he works in. Wednesday and today, he has been able to spend with the girls. They really love spending time with their Daddy!
Today I came home to a clean house with all the laundry done—my Hubby is awesome! And to top it off, he has arranged for us to have another date night tonight! I don’t have to work tomorrow so it will be nice to sleep in!
Here are some pics from the reunion.
Here is Kylee and Papaw. They could be twins if there wasn’t 50 some-odd years between them!
Kalyn gearing up for a game of ping pong. She actually did a really good job!
And this is the face Keali had almost all weekend. She was really tired all weekend and pouted out her lips. It was really cute.
One of the few smile of Keali we were able to capture as well as Luke, who doesn’t ever need an excuse to ham for the camera!
So, I’ve written about basketball and softball. When it comes to indoor activities, there is probably nothing the Lambs love better than a good game of Rummy-O. And we are c o m p e t i t i v e!! Fights have broken out over Rummy-O. We have had to institute time limits (hence the timer in front of me) and a ban on the “illegal tile” (a wild card that has a marking on the back so you can pick it out from all the others when choosing tiles). Luckily this game ended peacefully!
More Rummy-O.
Kalyn needed some encouragement to jump off the diving board--$1.00 from her Daddy did the trick. She is going to have to learn from Klarice though, because Klarice refused to jump for Debi for a dime under $200.00! I’m not sure Debi is going to pay up though!
Another of the smiles we caught. I love this picture! Keali jumped off the diving board twice too.
Again, the pouty tired face we got to see all the time!
This was taken yesterday morning. When I uploaded it today, my first words were, “Holy Cow!! Look how big it is!” Seriously. I am 17 1/2 weeks. Halfway there!
If you walked into our house just about any morning, this is what you would find just prior to me leaving for work—Heath tying my shoes. Technically I can still tie them myself, but my angle isn’t good enough to get a tight bow so my laces come untied. Heath ties them perfectly every time. In fact, this morning, Heath was still sleeping, so I slipped on the still-tied shoes from yesterday and I haven’t had a problem all day!
