Just a quick update on my Dr. appt. Everything is well! Both babies are doing fine--Baby A has a heartbeat of 179 and Baby B has a heartbeat of 176. They were snuggling each other (as best as they could) in the pictures and dancing around so much that we couldn't even get a good picture of one of them.
This was a big relief for me. I have been very nervous about their condition, but so far so good! I am measuring slightly larger than average for my 10 1/2 weeks, but that is fine. I've been eating like a pig. I haven't yet gained any weight though so I am sticking true to form (at least my body's version of it) for not gaining much weight. Remember--I only gained 16 lbs with Kalyn and 3 lbs with Keali. Sorry.
I also got my long list of questions answered. The babies will be born before November 20th. They won't let me go past 37 weeks. Also, I will have to give birth in a cold sterile operating room rather than a nice temperature controlled birthing suite. Yuck. Understandable--but Yuck.
We are going to try to keep me off bed rest until 28 weeks. Heath took this as, "Melissa will go on bed rest at 28 weeks." I took it as "As long as things go well, you won't have to do bed rest, but we will monitor very closely after 28 weeks." We will see who wins this one.
I got a prescription for a gigantic tummy brace to help with the discomfort and pain I have been experiencing with my quickly growing stomach. Yeah! I hope it works! I got my doctor to say (and put in writing if I want) that I have to wear tennis shoes everyday. Yeah! No more uncomfortable dress shoes!
Best news of all (besides the babies health, of course)? I am getting handicapped tags! Now. Don't think I am trying to milk the system. I'm not. It is so painful to walk right now. At some point I'll be one of those people driving the motorized carts at Walmart. For now, as soon as I get my tags, I'll be able to park closer to the buildings so I can shave off some time on my feet. I'm 10 1/2 weeks pregnant and I waddle like a duck...only slower. Thank you Dr. Hasik!

I'm glad they're doing well! I hope you start feeling better soon too!
