Single Mom weekend was fun. At least being with the girls was fun.
Saturday morning we woke up and had yummy eggs and bacon. Then we cleaned up the apartment. Both girls were extremely helpful and the cleaning took no time at all. Then we played Hide and Seek.
Kalyn told us where to hide--then she sought us. Amazingly it didn't take her much work to discover where we were.
After a while we went outside to practice t-ball, but didn't stay too long thanks to my allergies. We napped in the afternoon then visited with Mawma and Pawpa for a while in the evening.
When we got home we discovered that Keali had a fever of 102.3. Yikes. The girls slept in bed with me (i.e. I didn't sleep much). Sunday we missed church thanks to the continuance of the fever, and were very happy to see Heath that evening.
Work wise--being on duty--not so great. I will be the first to tell you that Arkansas State University has a wonderful police department. They work really well with us and I enjoy them. That being said, I am sick of them.
I have taken hall director duty for the week since I fired the hall director who was supposed to be on duty. I am also the area coordinator on duty. Normally as the AC on duty I don't get many calls--only the really bad ones. I feel so bad for the hall directors because the police call them for EVERYTHING! I guess they were bored--because Saturday night they started issuing parking citations at 2:30 in the morning. AM! They called me every few minutes to ask if people lived on campus or not. I was furious. Especially because I had emailed them a copy of all of our rosters the night before (because they had done the same thing). The dispatcher finally found the rosters I had previously sent and stopped calling, but the damage was done. I couldn't go back to sleep. yuck.
Last night Heath snored all night so I finally moved to the couch. (I'm starting to be at that stage where I just can't get comfortable to sleep. Then I could hear the thunder. It stormed all night long. I couldn't hear the thunder in my room because of the loud fan we sleep to. Which was worse? Snoring or thunder? It didn't really matter. I slept on and off the rest of the night. I feel pretty good today though!
