Kalyn took the news very well last night. She was very excited when I picked her up and asked if we were going to t-ball now. I told her I had some bad news, and explained to her what happened. Her face fell and she asked why? I told her again, and said that instead we would go home and watch whatever movie she wanted to watch together, and snuggle on the bed. She was happy with that and we even made some chocolate chip cookies (okay, okay, I cut up some store bought cookie dough and baked it).
We had a nice evening together, but putting to her bed was a nightmare! She did not want to go to sleep and I finally had to just leave her screaming. Keali had already fallen asleep in my bed...I left her there and Heath put her to bed when he came home.
This afternoon is Goonies Wednesday! I am excited about it. My staff loves The Goonies, but one person has never watched it, so for our staff meeting today we are watching the movie at my apartment. I am looking forward to a relaxing, stress-free afternoon watching a movie. Too bad I can't wear my pjs while I do it!
