Next time I go somewhere, would somebody please remind me to apply copious amounts of sunscreen! The pain is driving me crazy! I have a severe sunburn, and it only seems to be getting worse. I know it will feel better in a couple of days, but right now I am ready to jump out of my skin.
Summer has officially started in our household. Summer time is when Heath has most of his conferences, so it is filled with travel for us. We started with the Branson trip this past week, next week is NATA in St. Louis. The week after is our family reunion, then sometime in July Heath may or may not go to SWATA in Corpus Christie, TX. Yes, to our Bishop and Primary presidency...we will be on the less active list for the next couple months. It just seems like we miss so much church during the summer...or rather, we are away from our ward.
Kalyn has been my little savior during this sunburn crisis. She constantly offers to spray me with the aloe burn relief spray, and kisses my shoulders to help speed up the healing process. She doesn't understand why I wince and occasionally scream when she does this, but someday her turn will come...though I hope not for a very long time. Keali on the other hand has choosen the past couple of days to want to be held and played with. She thinks nothing of trying to 'tickle' (meaning scrape at my raw skin) me, and she is so sweet and cute that I have to try to smile and laugh when inside all I want is to toss her off of me and jump into a pool of ice cold water.
All in all though, I did enjoy my time while I got the sunburn, so I suppose I shouldn't complain too much. It's just that I applied sunscreen multiple times so I don't think that it is fair to be burned this badly. It was spf 50 too! Well...gotta go and pop another handful of ibruprofen. Happy Father's Day everyone!

um...about the spf 50 thing...my uncle works for schering plow and they make a majority of sunscreen that is sold and he told us that sunscreen is made in a big mixer thing and it is all made the same and then divided up into different bottles....and it's legal! So if the pot is making spf 15 that is what you are getting in your spf 50 bottle....just something to think about!
