I swear I am doing damage to my hands at work. They hurt all the time. Heath thinks that I am a wuss. He says I am using muscles in my hands that have never been used. I think I am about to burst a blood vessel or tear some tendons. Time will tell. For those of you wondering...at work I wear a jacket and gloves while in the cooler. I have to...it is cold! My gloves have traction on them so I can still grab stuff. The gloves make work a bit more difficult, but it is so cold in there, and I have to touch metal so often than they really are a necessity.
Yesterday we had an emergency at work. Some of the chillers out on the main floor went out. You know...where the biscuits, jello, and juice hang out on the shelves. Some men and I had to empty out all of these shelves and throw all of that product away! It was a lot of stuff. Unfortunately once they fixed the problem, we had to start re-stocking everything. The problem is that we don't have everything in overstock, so the shelves were still very bare today. It will probably take a week or so to fill them up again.
I am so sleepy! The heat of the day just lulls me into a stuper! Heath has a meeting this evening at his clinic to determine the future of his particular position at the high school he has been working at. The school hasn't been treating the clinic appropriately, so the clinic may pull out. There is a small chance that the clinic will just do away with Heath's position altogether. Please pray for us that they don't! Heath needs a job! Ideally, the clinic will pull out of that school district and place Heath at a school that is a bit closer to us anyway. With gas prices being what they are, we could save a fortune just by Heath moving to a closer school.
The girls have been a handful for the past couple days. Maybe it is the weather. I don't know, but they have been crazy! Last night I was seriously tempted to put them to bed around 5 pm. I have two days off tomorrow and Thursday. Hopefully my hands will heal up and get tougher before the next go around!
