We had a nice night last night. Jimmy planned a surprise birthday party for Andrea. Dad, Beverley, Matthew, Elizabeth, Amanda, Jessica, Heath, Kalyn, Keali, me, and Jimmy's assistant (I forget whether her name is Anita or Annette), her daughter, MacKenzie, and Tristan were there. It was a crowed, but a lot of fun. Jimmy cooked a gourmet meal for us all and we got to visit. It was really nice.
While we were getting ready to go to Hot Springs, Kalyn started trying on outfits. I already knew what I wanted her to wear, and it was in the laundry. She put on a nice pink shirt and paired it with pink shorts. Then she put on her tap shoes and declared she was ready to go. The shirt and shorts did not go well together, and the tap shoes...? I told Kalyn she couldn't wear that outfit and she got upset. She placed her hands on her hips, cocked her head, and said, "This is cute! I can too wear it!" We argued for a small time, then I washed the dress I wanted her to wear and she wore it instead.
Keali wore a beautiful little pink and white sun dress. It is really long on her but it is perfect. She was this little princess walking around the backyard barefoot. She was precious. She has started saying, "Shoes." It comes out as, "choos." Very cute.
By the end of the night both girls were exhausted and Keali screamed almost all the way home. She also screamed in her bed for quite a while before succumbing to sleep. They did have a really fun time playing with Tristan and MacKenzie.
This weekend we are hoping to get the house cleaned up and I would like to get the laundry done.
I did not get the job in Jonesboro that I had applied for. They re-opened the whole search process. I have applied for another position up there, but I am unsure if I would be able to accept it if I were even offered the position. There is a requirement that you live on-campus in a little house. The house is not large enough for my family, and it does not allow pets. The Director of Housing is looking into that for me though and should let me know something about the housing arrangements next week. Thank you everyone for your well wishes and prayers. I really appreciate them.
