The great refridgerator hunt is over. I have previously posted about my husband's shopping habits. He must check everything out many times before making a decision about a purchase. Luckily for me, when your fridge goes out, you don't have the luxury of time to check everything out. So, here is a run down of our day yesterday.
We woke up and headed to Sears. Heath went in at Sears while I stayed in the car with Kalyn and Keali.
Then we went to Home Depot.
Then we went to Lowes.
Then we decided that we really should have taken measurements of the space we had available for the appliance.
We stopped by Sears on the way home so I could run in. Then we went home and I measured the space with my trusty mini-tape measure.
We headed back to Home Depot where we discovered that we didn't have a big enough space for the fridge we really wanted.
We had to go home next, because it was time for Heath to go to work and the kids were hungry.
Heath got upset because I measured with the mini-tape measure, so we had to measure the space again.
When Heath got home from work we went back to Sears.
Then we went to Home Depot...again.
Then we went to Lowes...again.
Then we went to Sears......AGAIN! We finally bought a new refrigerator at Sears.
Then we went to McDonalds because Kalyn had been so patient with us all day, and wanted to play in the play land.
This morning we woke up and took the seats out of our van so Heath could pick up the fridge. He picked it up while I emptied and cleaned the old fridge. Then we had to get it into the house. We had to carry it around back and in through the sliding doors. We didn't have an extra centimeter to work with. The fridge barely made it into the house. But now we have a new fridge that is slightly larger than the last. I am happy with it. I have people picking up the old one this afternoon, so I have to get it cleaned. Have a great day!
