Kalyn Knows Best

It is still yucky and rainy. Still. I woke up at 2:30 this morning with Kalyn next to me. We were in the weirdest position. Both of us had our legs hanging off the bed and we were sort of diagonal too. I don't know how I slept like that, or when Kalyn joined me. Heath let me sleep in a bit this morning. I am in a bit of a mood, but I am not sure why. Kalyn went to bed last night like a dream! No complaining and no getting out of her room. That was nice. Keali on the other hand just screamed and screamed. For 3 1/2 hours. Finally Heath had to walk/swing her to sleep which is weird because she hates to be put to sleep that way. But it worked.
I have read so many blogs lately about little kids loving dishwashers. I have to add my own. Kalyn thinks that it is her 'job' to help unload the dishwasher. She hands me dishes, puts the utensils where she thinks they should go, pulls out the dishes that make sound and runs off to beat on them with spoons. Then she comes back just in time for me to load the dirty dishes into the machine...only she thinks that they are clean. It is a repetative cycle of me putting in the plates and her taking them out. I ask her not to...she says, "I am just helping. You need my help." I say thank you for being a big helper, but I can to this on my own. She continues to help. It usually ends in me screaming for Heath to take Kalyn away because she is just helping too much. I love the girl, but she already believes that Mommy is an idiot and doesn't really know what she is talking about. Kalyn knows best.

HAHAHA! So sad Kalyn thinks you're not capable of doing the dishes yourself. This could play to your advantage when she gets older though...SHE can do the dishes.

My dearest sister...she will never again want to help you. Take advantage of her ignorance (sp?) at this age. Soon she will see it as a chore and then you will regret ever making her stop!
