Everyone we meet comments on how cute Kalyn is and how well she can speak. I agree she is cute and that she speaks very well for a two year old. I also think that the way she words her sentences are cute sometimes too. For example last night after harrassing her daddy for a cupcake for probably 10 minutes or so he told her to be quiet. She came running to me in tears, crying "I can't talk for daddy ever again!" She often exchanges 'to' for 'for.' I love her voice. When she was a newborn she had the cutest cry. She was born without a roof in her mouth and something about how air moved inside her head gave her an adorable squeeky cry.
Sometimes after a full day of non-stop talking on her part, I get a bit tired of hearing her voice. Last night it got very shrill and unnerving for me. But I still love her voice. I just don't want to hear it every second of every day. There is something to be said for peace!
I love my babies. Keali is so close to walking now. That is so wonderful and heartbreaking at the same time. She is growing up so well but so quickly. I miss being able to cradle her in my arms and look into her beautiful eyes without her squirming. As a mom, I wish my babies would stay babies a little longer. I love watching them grow and learn, but I miss the babiness of very small children.
