What a day! 

Kynan and I were sick all weekend.  This morning we took Kynan to the doctor to see how he was—and we took Kaci too just to make sure she was okay.  Boy am I glad we did!

Kynan has strep throat.  Poor baby!  He also has weezy lungs and a cold.  He had been running a fever all weekend—got up to 102.5. 

Kaci had been a bit weezier than normal—she always has a little rattling to her lungs. 

The doctor gave both of them a breathing treatment since they were rattling.  Kynan got worse, but Kaci got better so off to the hospital we went for some chest x-rays.

Kynan’s came back normal, but Kaci has pnuemonia.  For the THIRD TIME!!  Can’t the chick catch a break?

So—we are taking Kaci off rice cereal.  She has been on it for months to thicken her formula.  She is gaining too much weight now so we are switching her to a different kind of thickener that doesn’t have calories.  We have also added Flo-vent to Kaci’s inhaler treatments to help out with the lung damage.  There’s more stuff involved, but I can’t remember it all at this point.

I’m so thankful that we took Kaci in too!  She wasn’t even acting sick.  I never would have guessed.
