We went into our doctors appointment this morning—convinced that I was going to be hospitalized.  I’ve still been having contractions—and didn’t hold much hope that things have stayed the same since last Friday.

We had our ultrasound first.  Boy oh boy those babies have NO room in there!  They are smushed in pretty good.  Kynan is going to be born first!!  Heath and I are both excited about that.  We didn’t want our only boy to be the baby of the family.  Yeah, yeah, I know that his sister will not be much younger than him, but still one boy and three girls?  He had to have something.

Kynan is engaged and ready—he is pushing down trying to get out.  Kaci is breech—but we aren’t worried about that.  Often times, the second baby will flip around once there is suddenly room.  If not, then my doctor will flip her around.  We will only have a c-section if we have to.  I’m more worried about her having black eyes since Kynan keeps kicking her in the face.

Luckily, nothing has changed since last Friday, but the best news of all is that both Kynan and Kaci are HUGE and the doctor is fine with them coming whenever they want to!!!  He even expects them to possibly show up sometime this week.  Scary!

Kynan is measuring 5 lbs 3 oz. and Kaci is measuring 4 lbs 8 oz.  The measurements could be a bit off, but at any rate, my doctor feels that they would both do well if born now.  The fluid is low—but not scary low.  We won’t induce or rush it at all—they can come when they want to, but I am so relieved that they can choose to show up whenever and things should be fine.  I shouldn’t have to go to Little Rock to have them.

We couldn’t get a good look at Kynan’s face—the little boy had his hands over his face.  We did get a pretty good look at Kaci.  She has the Lamb cheeks and Heath’s lips!  I think she has a massive forehead, but Heath said he didn’t think so.  He said the picture was distorted.  Both have hair—we could see the little fuzzies standing up on the ultrasound—we’ve never seen that before!  It was so cute!

It is so hard to believe that I have over 9 1/2 lbs of baby inside.  Yikes!

Still on bed rest.  Still taking my medication.  Super excited at the thought that I won’t be pregnant that much longer!

Wow! I've never seen an ultrasound that clear! That must have been so neat.

I'm sorry to hear that you're on bedrest, but glad to know that it shouldn't last long and that the babies are healthy.

Okay I have to say I'm SOOO happy that everything is going so well for you and your sweet babies. That being said I'm wishing I could have my baby sometime this week too. I think I would have a hard time staying on bedrest if I were you though, especially knowing it's okay for them to be born anytime. Good luck with everything. We are very happy for you!

I would suggest you try to enjoy bed rest, just because my best friend had twins and it was 4 of us against 2 new born. That is all I'm saying :-)

I think Jennie is going to be a bit jealous that you will be having your babies before she does. It's good to hear that the babies are healthy enough to come on their own. Thanks for letting me know that prayers are being answered. I'm so excited for you!
