Strange Encounter @ Walmart

Heath and I have no time to grocery shop. I get too tired and irritable to do it alone with the girls anymore (I can turn into THAT mother in a heartbeat and it is embarrassing and not fair to the girls). So today on my lunch hour, we decided to get our shopping for the week done.
All was going well--I didn't even have to ride in one of the motorized wheelchairs--I just waddled. We got everything that we HAD to get then Heath mentioned he wanted some healthy snack food. It was on the other side of the store and I didn't feel like walking all the way over there so I suggested he go alone while I looked at some scrap booking stuff (never too early to think about birth announcements).
After a while, I started to meander in his direction when an older-than-middle-age, but younger-than-old woman saw me, threw her hands out and almost screamed (NOT EXAGGERATING) "You're in LABOR! Stay right there! I will go get help."
I was NOT in labor.
I looked at the lady as though she were crazy. I still think she was.
I calmly told her, "I am not in labor. I am fine." She said again, "I'll get help."
"I don't need help" I replied. She asked if I was sure. YES. I AM SURE!!
I know I look about to pop. I know I waddle. I know what I look like, but it wasn't like I was writhing on the floor in agony or something. She finally believed me and said, "Oh. Well, another woman earlier today WAS in labor."
So here is the lesson I get from this:
All pregnant women who walk around Walmart must be in labor.
And they all must need help.
In the form of a crazy lady.

WOW!! I'm constantly amazed at how strange some people can be. I'm not sure how I would've reacted. I guess any trip to Wal-Mart isn't complete without some form of drama!

You tell the funniest stories!

And I'm really sad that you can't travel right now because I would love to see you at Grandma's. It would be like meeting a long lost friend for the first time. (c:

Melissa- this cracked me up! I just read it to Weston and he's laughing too. Thanks for sharing the joy. And I feel the same as Cheryl. Isn't it weird how blogs bring distant cousins together?
