The doc gave me a prescription for pills to help me sleep better on Friday. I took one Friday night and got a grand total of 1.5 hours of sleep. What!? It was supposed to help me sleep, not keep me awake!
Saturday morning, we got up and went to Popsicles. It is the NEA consignment sale. We loaded up on tons of good stuff. Heath had gone Thursday and Friday and picked stuff up then, but Saturday was 50% off day so we went wild. Kalyn has a new winter wardrobe. Keali has some cute new pieces. Kaci got some good stuff, and Kynan is set for 6 months!
After the sale, we went to the hospital so I could get my second shot. That one HURT!! A LOT!! So it was 'no sitting on your tush' for the rest of the day. I took a nap when we got home and felt much less sleepy when I got up. While I was napping, Heath got the majority of the laundry done--quite a feat when you think he did all of the normal laundry, plus about 3 loads of stuff we had just bought. I spent the rest of the day helping him fold, hang, and put stuff away. He really is the best!
Saturday night, I took another pill hoping it would actually work this time. Not so much...but better than Friday night. I slept intermittently, but was rested enough to get up and go to church. I made it through Sacrament Meeting (I sit in the foyer because the pews are too hard and upright...plus my tush still ached). When that hour was over Heath took me home and I immediately fell asleep again. I had a 2.5 hour nap. It was heavenly!
Heath's Mom brought the girls home from church and I made up some baked beans (okay, okay...I took some Bush's Maple Bacon Beans and added a ton of brown sugar, honey, and more maple syrup to it--super sweet, but hit the spot for me). Then we played around on my embroidery machine.
Mom gave me her old machine about two years ago and I learned how to use it last weekend when she visited, so we have been doing cute stuff ever since. Next we went to Heath's parents so he could mess around with computer stuff. The girls played there and I read "The Lost Symbol" by Dan Brown. I finished it last night and enjoyed it.
Heath and I left the girls with his parents for a couple hours and came home to work on more embroidery stuff, but it just didn't work out. The girls came home a little past their bedtime, but they were both so sleepy (thank you MaMaw and PaPaw!) they went to bed with little trouble. Heath and I watched a DVRd Top Chef, and I took another sleeping pill and went to bed. I slept much better last night--not great, but I don't think great is an option at this point. At any rate, I woke up 10 minutes early this morning feeling refreshed. It was nice. Now it is 9:13 and I'm exhausted, but what can you do?
Happy Birthday Dad!
