I finally got the energy to ask Heath to go to Target and finish registering for the babies. Since my retreat last week, I’ve been having a really hard time walking—I’ve somehow injured some ligaments and moving my left leg is very painful at times. But not all the time. Weird.
We got to Target and their entire registry system was down! Augh! I don’t know when I will want to go again. We decided to look around and decide what we wanted to register for. Really, there isn’t that much that I really want. I don’t like Bumbos. We will need some bottles, but we still haven’t decided which kind to choose yet. The clothes are all so seasonal that anything we register for wouldn’t work in the winter time. Basically, all I came up with was a few specific blankets for swaddling. We don’t like traditional receiving blankets for swaddling—they don’t stretch and are difficult to keep closed. We don’t really like the things specifically made for swaddling, because they don’t swaddle very well. We like the stretchy two sided cotton ones or waffle style blankets.
Alas. That is all I could think of.
Kalyn had a nightmare last night (Swiper the fox was trying to take her so her Daddy had to save her) and came into our room sobbing. I took her hand to take her back to bed and she was trembling. It was so sad! I ended up putting her in bed with Keali who was sleeping peacefully. The last thing Kalyn said to me was, “Why does Keali sleep so nicely, and I don’t like my dreams?” I don’t know. I wish my nightmares were as simple as Swiper the fox.
