Yesterday afternoon, Heath and I were talking on the phone. Neither of us wanted to go to the swim party last night. There was a heat index of 103, Heath had been outside all day at work, I'm too huge to be out of air conditioning for long, and we were both tired. But...Kalyn was still excited to go. So we went.
There could not have been a more perfect night for a pool party! The sponsors of Kalyn's t-ball team were hosting the party at their house. The backyard was like an oasis! It was very shaded, beautifully landscaped, and cool! Not 70 degree cool, but it felt much cooler than 103. There was a lovely breeze blowing on us. The girls had so much fun and Heath swam with them too. When we got home, Kalyn actually got ready for bed herself and was waiting for us to put her to bed. That never happens!
