Arkansas is SO crazy!! Yesterday it rained cats and dogs. In fact, I am sure that a few cats and dogs lost their lives in the floods.

Today, the ground is so dry in places you would think it hadn't rained in weeks.
I have always believed Heavenly Father has a sense of humor and this just proves it. He had to have a sense of humor to create The Natural State.

For the past four days I have probably eaten enough food for three complete meals. I have entered the stage of pregnancy (I may be the only person I know to experience this) where if I don't really, really, want to eat something--I just won't eat because everything else is disgusting. Good for me? No. Good for the babies? No. Difficult to find something that I really, really want? YES!!
As a result, I am soooo hungry, but I just can't bring myself to eat enough of anything to get full. Until lunch today.

Tired of hearing me complain about how hungry I am (Heath learned a long time ago that if I don't want to eat it, I simply won't), Heath broke down and took me to get was I was craving at the moment. When I am expecting--I don't get many cravings. At least not for real food. Usually I crave candy and such, and I always crave coffee (I don't know why--I have never had it!! Ohhhh. I could stand in the coffee isle at the supermarket forever though!)

I wanted chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. Heath took me to Dixie Cafe and that is what we ordered. One to share because we both knew I wouldn't eat a whole one by myself. We also got two small salads. Here is what I was able to eat:

1 small salad.
2 small rolls with butter (yummy!)
3 bites of chicken fried steak--couldn't eat any more, but they were so good!
1/2 of my portion of mashed potatoes.

Eating that second roll was a chore. You know in that movie, "The Great Outdoors" when the dad is eating the gigantic steak? That is how I felt eating that last roll! I was sweating and almost groaning at the effort--but I knew I needed to eat it because who knows when I will feel like eating again!

I'm gonna leave work in about half an hour. I got two comp-hours this week so I am taking them to go home and have a nice 2 hour nap before we go out for whatever Friday Night shenanigans we are going to do.

Pet Update:
Krypto has found a new home with a family that have 2 other pugs and have plenty of love, time, and space for a third. Heath is having a hard time with this decision, but he knows it is for the best. We believe that Bernie will find a new home soon--that will be good for him too.
Coca-Cola went to live with Heath's cousin last winter and is doing well. He isn't the same chihuahua he was when we had them--having turned into more of a traditional chihuahua with the snippy attitude and Napoleon syndrom. When we had him he was very affectionate towards everyone. Not anymore. That is sad.
Sally is being abused by Fresca, so Fresca has been moved to his own cage. Fresca keeps pulling out Sally's feathers and she is going bald on her head. It's really gross.
Sprite is just fine.
Fresca is about to get his tiny bird head snapped off if he doesn't stop singing the theme from "Superman" at the top of his lungs. Between that and the cat calls he shouts out--I am loosing patience with him and so is Heath. He is SO LOUD!!
BTW--it would be more human to snap his head off then to release him into the wild. He wouldn't have a clue how to feed himself!

Now--for all of you animal protection people out there--we would never harm our birds--but the singing and whistling is getting annoying. We haven't figured out how to shut Fresca up. Even when we tell him to be quiet--and I am not exagerating--he will get quiet and as soon as we turn our backs, he snickers and talks back to us! He must get that from Kalyn...
