I've been spending money like crazy--at work--not at home. I LOVE spending my department's money. Here at the end of a fiscal year, I get upset if I don't spend every penny I have left in my hall accounts. So when I got the list of how much each hall had left, I almost panicked. How would I ever spend it all? So I put my plan into action.
I bought 16 hundred dollars worth of Ellison Dies. Ellison Dies are the things that make those cute paper cut outs on your kid's school walls. I was really excited to get to purchase those, because our Department hasn't bought many since we got our first set 7 years ago. The woman who ordered the dies back then ordered dinosaurs, construction vehicles, happy faces, and other childish stupid things that our RA/CAs can't use. I on the other hand ordered a ton of dies that reflect our school mascot--the Red Wolf, as well as some seasonal dies. I'm excited to get them.
I bought 4 new vacuum cleaners since none of the vacuums in my halls work (and I threw them all away). I bought organizational stuff to help my hall directors keep their offices neat and organized. I bought a ton of other stuff too. And I still have $1593.55 to spend. Luckily I have one more month to figure out what I want to buy with it!
Home has been a bit hard for the past few days. I am not sleeping well at night thanks to the inability to breath or get comfortable. My temper has been short--something I am aware of, but not quite sure how to tame. Yesterday was the worst day I've had in quite a while. I was on the brink of tears most of the afternoon and evening. The girls weren't behaving.
Heath threatened to go back to work--and Kalyn told him to go ahead and go. So he went outside. I took him some money and told him since he was 'going back to work' anyways, would he mind going to Krogers and buying me some ice cream. He did. When he came home, we put the girls to bed and he surprised me with steak! Yummy!! I was too full after the steak to eat any ice cream, but there is always tonight! Thank you!!
The night before last, Heath got to watch Kalyn play t-ball for the first time. Kalyn played REALLY well. She hit the ball off coach pitch each time she batted. The other team made me really mad though--not psycho crazy t-ball mom mad, but seathing inside wanting to scream mad. They had this crazy tall 6 year old playing in the pitcher's spot--only she kept moving up closer to the home base. The kids on our team would hit the ball (almost all of them hit off coach pitch this time--it was great to see the improvement), and this Amazonian kindergartener would get the ball and chase them down before they ever had a chance to make it to first. She was super fast.
Heath and the other parents got upset too--staging players that way doesn't teach them to play the game--it only teaches them to win--not what I think t-ball is all about. Anyway, with Kalyn's second hit, she managed to hit it away from the Amazon, and made it to first base! I was so happy for her! She gave her Daddy a big thumbs up when she got there too! Heath got some really good pictures that, of course, we haven't downloaded yet. Maybe someday.
Keali's terrible twos have finally hit. And they have hit HARD! It's not cute. Just annoying. The attitude on that one! It is almost unbelievable. I feel a bit bad for Heath today--Kalyn didn't go to school because of a doctor's appointment, so he has both girls all morning. He tends to handle that stress better than I do too though so he'll probably be okay.
And we are having two more.

In t-ball the kids either hit the ball off the t, or off coach pitch. The coach pitches the ball to the kids a few times. If the child is unable to hit it, they use the t. Coach pitch takes more skill--but the kids prefer the t since it doesn't move!
