Cute Things

Yesterday while I was home for lunch, I was trying to take a nap on the couch. Keali was singing "12 Months In One Year." In the middle of her third or fourth rendition, the birds started singing too. Keali stopped and angrily told them, "Stop it Birdies! I am singing." They stopped!
On the way to Kalyn's first t-ball game last night, Keali started singing the song again. I love the way her voice sounds--she does a really good job. I told her that I loved her. She said, "Mommy, I'm making you happy!" Yes...she was.
Kalyn was adorable for her game. She hit the ball, rested the bat on her shoulder and just stood at home plate. Everyone is shouting (in a completely encouraging way) "Run. Run!" She finally gets the message and litterally meanders to first base! She made it the first time. The second time she got out, but she was a good sport about it. In the outfield, she yelled out, "Mommy! I need to go potty!" That stirred some chuckling from our side of the field! You could tell when she got bored with the game. She completely stopped paying attention. Within a couple of minutes most of the team in the outfield was 'over' the game. Luckily it ended shortly after.
I FORGOT MY CAMERA! I was so upset with myself! My daughter's first game, and the camera is at home. Augh! She has another game tomorrow though, so if we don't get rained out, I'll take pictures then. She was precious.
Whenever we go to the store without Heath, I tell Kalyn the list of things that we absolutely can't forget to buy. She always remembers the list. We were about to head to the checkout last night when she said, "Juice, Mommy." In just about the most condicsending voice ever. She must think I'm pretty scatterbrained sometimes. In truth, I am...but my daughter notices it too :(.
After being put to bed last night, I went to bed. Just as I had fallen asleep, both girls got in my bed to 'snuggle' me. I didn't want snuggling. I just wanted to sleep, but it is easier to just give in sometimes. Heath put them to bed when he got home.
Speaking of Heath. I have the BEST husband ever! Yesterday he did all the laundry and dishes. I have been too tired lately to be of much use at all and he has more than carried his and my share of the load. He put the girls in their own beds last night too.
I woke up at 3 am this morning feeling as though I hadn't eated in five days. I was famished! Heath woke up with me and stayed up with me while I ate a sandwich. I love him!
