It's been a little difficult getting back into the swing of work after my extended (forced) weekend. I had so many deadlines at the end of last week that I missed thanks to the weather and have had to meet the first few days of this week. So much is happening...and I don't have as much time as I would like to finish stuff.
The girls are doing great--well, not so much Kalyn when it comes to waking up earlier in the morning (she was out of school for almost 2 weeks thanks to the weather and sickness). She is such a pill in the morning. Yesterday she asked me to pick her up and hold her so I did. After a minute I thought that probably wasn't the best idea. Sure enough. Two hours later I could only shuffle down the exceedingly long hallway to get to my office. By lunch it was even worse. I took some pain reliever and went back to work. I taught my class then came home.
Luckily for me, Kayla came over last night to watch the girls while I shuffled back to work for an evening meeting. Then I went to bed and woke up this morning. Sore, a bit achy, but completely able to walk! I have been fine all day. I am glad this wasn't the 'lasting' kind of injury!
My babies are so sweet. They love to snuggle and hug and kiss. I know my parent's loved me as a child...we hugged and kissed goodnight and hello and goodbye. But I don't think I had the same kind of relationship with my parents that my kids have with me. I love my relationship with Kalyn and Keali. I wouldn't change a thing! Well--maybe a little less screaming from the Banshee (aka Keali).
