I got back from my conference Wednesday afternoon and I was so happy to be back! It was a great conference, but I missed my husband and children. Kalyn really missed me. She even started acting out in school. Tuesday morning I recieved a phone call from her teacher, Ms. Tonya telling me Kalyn was refusing to pick up after herself. After being told to pick up or have her mom called, Kalyn started crying and wailed, "I want my Mommy!" So I spoke with Kalyn, straigtened her out and she was much better after that.
Apparently Keali really missed me too. She would tell people all day that she missed me and wanted to talk to me. When I would be on the phone though, she would grunt at me and never said a word! I guess she was punishing me.
Nobody missed me more than Heath though. He had to get up much earlier than he is used to in order to get Kalyn to school, and it isn't easy being a single parent! Especially when you are the parent who doesn't tend to be the 'disciplinarian.' It was rough on Heath but he did a good job.
When I picked Kalyn up from school Wednesday afternoon, she hugged me, told me she missed me, then proceeded to behave as though I was in her way and causing a problem for her. Keali attached herself to my leg and when we are in the same room (ever since) she is right on top of me. She tells me countless times a day how much she missed me and that she loves me. So cute!
Did I post that Kylee was finally born! She is adorable in all the pictures I have ssen of her. I am very jealous of my in-laws who have gotten to spend the past week with Richie, Debi, and Kylee. I can't wait to meet her!
Another sister in law is pregnant. Kalyn saw a picture of the sonogram and had the following conversation with Heath:
Kalyn: "Daddy? Why is Holly pregnant with a peanut?"
Daddy: "What?"
Kalyn: "Holly is pregnant with a peanut. I don't want Holly to have a peanut. Peanuts don't talk...plus, you eat peanuts!"

For those of you who don't get it--little tiny babies tend to look like peanuts at a certain developmental stage!
I sure did miss my family! I am so happy to be back...I am already dreading the next time I have to leave in a couple weeks for a placement exchange. At least it is only Thursday-Sunday and only an hour and a half away.
