We are still adjusting to our new schedules. Kalyn is back to loving school after a couple days of sobbing fits when I left her there. My work picked up yesterday with a couple of disgruntled mothers. Here is a tip for everyone--when your child goes to college--let him/her deal with their own problems. You don't help your child grow up by doing everything for them.
For example. Molly has a roommate problem, but is unwilling to confront the situation. She just goes home and whines to mom about it. Then mom calls me (totally bypassing any semblance of procedure) and wants Molly's roommate to be kicked out of the room. Mom swears up and down that Molly has spoken with the RA and the Hall Director and everyone is ignoring the problem. No big surprise for me when I speak with the RA and the HD and nobody has ever heard of the problem. Either Molly isn't being honest with mom, or mom thinks I am an idiot and won't research the situation. At any rate, Molly ends up embarrassed that her mother is a tool and the problem doesn't get fixed. And I just had a bad day. Yuck. Let your kid grow up and stop coddling him/her.
Kalyn and Keali are loving their time with Holly in the afternoons. Yesterday neither would let Holly leave our car until she had given them multiple 'hugs and sugars.' It was cute.
My SIL is having a baby girl!! I am so excited for another little female in the family. We are slowly outnumbering the boys!!! I hope that at some point we get some boys too--I really want a boy one day. It would be tragic if a family of 7 boys could only produce female children. Funny, but sad too!
The birds are doing better, but Fresca is a bit of a bully. If Sprite or Sally gets near the food, Fresca intervenes and the two other birds run away. They need food too! Heath is taking them to the vet today to get checked out. I am still concerned over Sprite's wings (though she may only be molting), and Sally's legs and grip. Hopefully all will be well. Fresca currently has a black eye (not kidding) from an altercation with the other two birds, but if you want my opinion, she was asking for it.

I wonder what would happen if the other two ganged up on Fresca...how much damage can one bird do to another?
Wow! they ask for mommy's help when they are living on their own???
Crazy! that is all I can say. You did good though, show them what you are made of!
It sounds like Molly is going to be running to mom even after she gets married. I already feel sorry for the guy.
Do you have a picture of Fresca with her black eye?
