Since we know for sure that I got that new job, we have started car shopping--seriously.  If you have read this blog for some time, you know how Heath shops.  Car shopping is no different.  I am about to scream.  I don't want to buy a car that we won't love and drive for 5-10 years.  I really don't.  But I also just want to buy the pretty car that I like!  I am such a girl when it comes to cars.  I want the pretty one.

I got Kalyn registered for pre-school yesterday.  She starts on Monday and I am really bummed about it.  My baby is going to school!  Augh!  She will also start getting some speech therapy.  Since she was born with the cleft palate, she has trouble with certain sounds.  Mostly anything that you use the soft palate to make.  She has had the repair surgery already, but since she didn't have a roof to her mouth during the period of time when babies play around with sounds, she isn't used to making sounds with the soft palate.  Heath also joked that hopefully they will give her speech therapy for her southern drawl.  It is seriously awful.  "Mawmee, you do-unt gow ahny-wayer with mayee."  That translates into "Mommy, you don't go anywhere with me."  It is funny to hear, but she does sound a bit hick.

There is this overweight man who rides his bike around our neighborhood.  Good for him!  He is exercising.  My only complaint is that he does it wearing nothing but a black speedo.  Yeah!  The TINY kind of speedo!!  A couple days ago Kalyn saw him for the first time.  She yelled out in a shocked tone, "Mawmee"!! Thayat mayan is naykid!" (Mommy, that man is nakid!)  I don't think he heard her, but she said it again the next time he rode past.  Now we are avoiding outside play during Mr. Speedo's exercise time.

Don't change the drawl! I think it's part of what makes talking to her so much fun!
