After what has felt like an impossibly lazy day (I was stuck on the couch for most of it), I began to feel better and decided to cut in the ceilings with paint.  I also did a bit of trim work in the living room.  Now it is 2:18 am and I am so hopped up on paint fumes, I can't go to sleep!

I have been watching the Olympics.  I really like watching this.  There is some magical feeling to me when all these athletes get together to compete.  I don't know any of them, but I get so excited for our teams.  I clap and shout, and my heart stops during risky moves and I try to catch the bars when it looks like the gymnasts aren't going to do it.  I don't know why I make a fool of myself watching the Olympics, but at least I am onl y doing it with myself...there is nobody else around to watch me...I hope!

My back is feeling better though--if you said a prayer for me, I thank you--I can really feel it.  For the past couple hours I have been listening to BYU Radio on my satellite.  Wow.  There is some really crappy stuff on there.  I did enjoy a dramatization recorded in 1938.  I forget what it was called, but it was about the Saints beginning their move westward from New York.  Some of the songs though.  There was one that sort of sounded like a cheesy Christmas movie meets corny  lullaby.  It was about counting your blessings instead of sheep when you can't sleep.  I thought for a moment that I actually had fallen asleep because it was the type of song my sick mind would come up with.  But, alas I was awake and some other disturbed soul had actually recorded it.  At the least I can say that I hope I NEVER hear it again.  It was 'yuck' as Kalyn would say.

I miss my 'tough guy.'070

You should of seen us (Steven, Amber, Chris, Gentry, me, and the grandkids) watching the 4 x 400m freestyle relay Sunday evening. We were yelling at the TV when the US passed France to win the gold. Last night, I kept trying to grab the bar during gymnastics. I love watching the olympics.
