You know...all day long I think of things to include in the blog, but by the following day I have forgotten most of them! I hate that!
Yesterday, Heath and I continued with the yard work and now our yard looks great! That will last about 2 more days then it will need work again! Yuck. I got some blisters on my hands from cleaning the driveway, but I do like having a nice looking house.
Heath took the girls out in the afternoon because I wasn't feeling great. It gave me time to rest a bit and the girls got special time with their Daddy! When they got home, Kalyn asked if I was feeling better. Just having her ask in such a sweet voice did make me feel better!
Not long ago, a friend from growing up, asked for advice on putting her son to sleep. The doctor was telling her that she needed to stop rocking him to sleep--he needed to just cry it out. That got me thinking. Keali never really liked being rocked, and usually went to bed easily from birth. Lately though she has gotten a bit more snuggly. For her naps she likes me to rock her for a little while then I put her in her crib. I love that! And I love that she instigated it by walking me to the chair and getting her blanket. So cute. So for the past few nights, before she goes to bed, we have been rocking too. That time with Keali is so precious and is something that I missed out on when she was a baby. So go ahead Jennifer R. (or as I will always think of you, Jennifer P.). Rock Brock to sleep for as long as he will let you! You can't get that time back...I missed it and am now so grateful that I am getting it.
Last night Kalyn let me play around with her hair. She has fine smooth hair so I was trying to get some volume into it. The volume lasted about 5 minutes!
Yesterday morning I caught Keali coloring on the back of a capsule packet with a crayon. Yes...I am the mean mother who apparently won't give her kids normal paper to color on!
A few days ago, this is how Keali walked in to the living room. With a pull-up on her head. It hadn't been used and I don't even know where it came from since Kalyn has been completely potty trained since February or so.
Keali brought me some of her play glasses and wanted to wear them together. She is so cute!

I love that pic of Keali coloring on the packet - she looks so pleased with herself!
thanks for the advice! I've decided to take the doc's advice when it is about sicknesses or when I ask for his advice :) I have been happily rocking Brock to sleep and don't have any regrets about it!!
Love the glasses and the curlers!! We really need to have a play date!
I want to give you a memory. I was out of town when you posted yours so I'm catching up!
I remember you talking to me about surgery, you were selling it to me, it was so funny but the funniest part was realizing you have an accent. I like it.
