Construction...Again!

Kalyn told me last night that she was going to get a baby brother after January.  When she does get a baby brother I am sure it will be after January since there is no bun in the oven at this time!  She said she would call him "Tiny" by the way.

We are up this morning earlier than usual.  Last week we had our termite people (we are required to have a termite contract on the house) come out for our annual inspection.  All looked good, but we were asked to remove some suspicious boards.  When we removed them we found evidence of termite damage!  Of course it was old and inactive, but our contract doesn't cover damage from before we bought the house.

Mike, our friend from church agreed to come over this morning to help Heath fix it (Mike is a genius at all things construction).  They pulled down the boards and found a massive carpenter ant infestation!  They are everywhere!  Hopefully we can get the ant problem under control now.  I have no idea how much all of this is going to cost (hopefully not a whole lot), but it will be nice to have the problem fixed and have a sturdier house!  Basically they are removing an entire side of our house!  There is nothing between my inside wall and the outside!  Scary...I hope they get it all finished today.
