The Banshee and the Mouth are in form today. Kalyn won't stop talking...Keali won't stop shreaking! I feel a headache coming on!
Keali is really coming along in her speach. She learns a new word every day and can even put together some sentences. One of my favorite things to hear from her is when she thinks something isn't working correctly. She gets an adorable look on her face, then hands whatever it is to me and says, "(whatever) boak! It boak!"
Keali also sings her ABCs! To the tune of the alphabet song, she sings, "A E A E A E A, A E A E A E A, A E A E A E A, A E A E A E A, A E A E A E A." Beautiful!
Yesterday we returned home from the store, and Heath found a 'present' from the dogs in the kitchen. Before I had brought in my first load of groceries, Heath had picked it up to carry the dead bird back outside. Kalyn asked what it was and I told her it was a dead bird. Her eyes got HUGE and she said in a shocked, angry tone, "OUR BIRD?" She thought Fresca had been killed. But it was an outside bird, so Fresca is still safe.
Today, I hope to finish up all the laundry (I got tired of laundry yesterday), and clean up Kalyn's room again. I don't know how it gets so messy so quickly! I try to get Kalyn to help me, but it just is so much easier to do it myself. I really need to make her help though or else she will never learn! I refuse to have one of these kids that goes to college and is unable to do laundry, make a bed, cook a meal, clean a room. Those kids drove me crazy when I was working in the university setting.
