Yesterday was a really nice day until...
Kalyn suffered a grievious injury. While jumping off the couch (which she is not supposed to do) she jumped on the one toy sitting on the living room floor. She got two cuts to her feet (not life threatening, though she certainly thought so) and the day changed forever. She began to cry and asked me to make Daddy come home from work. I cleaned, neosporined, bandaided, and taped up her foot to keep the bandaid on. Then the hysteria began.
Kalyn remembered an episode of "Yo Gabba, Gabba" where the creatures (what are those things anyway?) looked at germs on a microscope. She began to scream and cry hysterically saying, "The germs! The germs are getting into my body!" I calmly explained that the medicine I had put on the owies killed all the germs and wouldn't allow any more in. She did not accept this.
Her hysteria was worsened every few minutes as a new group of terrifying and invisible germs attempted to break through the tape, bandaid, and ointment. There was nothing I could do to calm her down. I tried everything. Finally I had to set her up on my bed with her foot propped up on a pillow, and she watched Dora. I also gave her some pain reliever and she eventually fell asleep.
It was DRAMATIC!! After her nap, the injured foot felt better and she was even able to walk without a limp! It was very funny.
This is what I have to put up with when Kalyn knows I am going to take a picture! Scary!

That is NOT a good picture. Funny story about the germs though! She's nothing if not aware!
I don't think I've ever seen such a well-bandaged boo-boo! I can't convice Kayli that such a thing as germs even exists. Sigh.
LOVE the face!
I want to kiss her cheeks ;-)
