Today is a rainy day, but so far I am not feeling the laziness that I associate with these kind of days. I got to bed around 10 pm last night and slept until 8:30 this morning. It was nice. I forget how nice it is to get to bed at a decent hour!
This afternoon, Heath and I are taking the girls to my Mom's house so we can have a date night. The girls will stay at Mom's tonight and we will pick them up tomorrow. Kalyn is ecstatic beyond words at this thought. She loves being with family...and especially loves hanging out with Amanda and Jessica. I think she looks up to them, and thinks that while she is with them she is just 'one of the girls.' She tends to think that she can do whatever they are doing and she wants to be just like them.
I think that Amanda and Jessica having someone look up to them is a good thing. I grew up having to be an example for my younger siblings. Amanda and Jessica haven't had to do that, so now that they have neices, they should be examples for them. I think it helps keep you straight and on the right path if you have somebody you feel responsible for. I don't know if Amanda or Jessica views it that way, but I hope they do. Kalyn, Keali, Eva, and Emma all need people they can look up to.
This morning Kalyn and I made blue pancakes. So far this week our pancakes have been pink, green, purple, and blue. We normally have pancakes every couple of weeks or so. Four times in one week is making me sick of pancakes! No more pancakes!!!
