I thought I would post again because I forgot to mention some things. Yesterday my visiting teacher, Sister Neilsen brought me a carrot cake. It is the best one I have had in a really long time. I love carrot cake! She brought it to me because I had mentioned how much I love them. I don't ever make them though because Heath and Kalyn don't like them. So I got my very own carrot cake! Carrot cake always reminds me of my ward in Utah growing up. For every ward activity we had the same food. Roast beef with gravy, mashed potatoes, and carrot cake!
Wow...mowing the lawn today really wore me out. We have a section of grass/weeds behind our back fence that we always forget to mow. Well, I mowed it today and it was like treking through the jungle. There were dandilion stalks a few feet taller than me, and a couple inches in diameter. Those were a bear to tackle! Then there was just the thick growth of weeds and grass. The thing that made it even more difficult though was this area drops about 3 feet into a drainage ditch. I had to cut the grass without dropping the mower into the ditch (the grass was so tall I couldn't see the edge!). Exhausting!
Kalyn has suddenly decided she likes me doing her hair. I am in hair heaven! I always wanted a little girl so I could play with her hair, and finally my little girl is allowing me to! She needs to master holding still though...maybe then I will get a decent looking french braid in.
Yesterday when we got home from church, we had a nice (not really) surprise waiting for us. The dogs had torn into a bag of garbage and dragged it's contents all over the kitchen. Just as we finished cleaning up the kitchen, Heath looked outside. Thanks to the doggy door, half the trash was in the backyard too! Thank goodness the doggy door doesn't lead to the front yard...that might have been embarrassing! We just had to go pick up dirty diapers (and their contents) off the lawn. Yuck. Sometimes I think those dogs have a death wish!

Nestle at 5 months has now begun to get into our small bedroom/bath trash bins. He really enjoys making the mess!

I remember the roast beef (always dry but yummy), gravy, and mashed potatoes...but I don't remember the carrot cake! I do enjoy that stuff though. Haven't had it in a while.
