I had my training at the new job (the one that I hope is only temporary). It was from 8-5, so I left before the girls woke up. It was a long day, and nice to get home. When I got home, Kalyn was happy to see me, but Keali started screaming so I would notice her. When I said, "hi!" she lunged for me. I held her and she hugged me and put her head on my shoulder. She will normally only do this rarely, and for short periods of time. Today she did it for over five minutes, and only stopped because I set her down to change clothes. It was so sweet. She missed her Mommy! Heath had the whole house cleaned up, and dinner almost ready when I got home. It was nice to get home. Again...I hope this job is only temporary.
Yesterday was a nice day. Kalyn decided she wanted to use her swimming pool. It was dirty after not being used all winter, so Heath and I cleaned it up. Then we filled it. The water was too cold to play in so we told Kalyn she would have to wait to swim until today. She asked to swim this afternoon. Heath told her she would have to wait until Keali woke up from a nap. When Keali woke up (apparently Kalyn woke her up early!), Kalyn said she would wait until Mommy got home to swim. So I got to see my girls play in their first swim of the summer. It was fun.
Keali didn't like being splashed, and she preferred to hold a hand while going down the slide, but all in all...both girls had a blast. Here is to another summer of fun (and safe) water play!
