Thank you for all of the prayers and kind thoughts on my behalf during my interview yesterday. I did the very best interview I could do. I wouldn't really change anything. I think that my presentation went over very well...I had some really good questions after it and I was able to expand. Now all that remains to be seen is whether I am the best candidate or not.
The position is the Assistant Director of Residence Life at Arkansas State University. It is a great opportunity for me. I would basically be in charge of all of the programming for Res. Life on campus. I would supervise the ACs (who supervise the RDs who supervise the RAs)...ultimately supervising ~100 people. It is an exciting thing to even be considered for this position and I really hope that I am chosen.
After the interview I went to my In-Laws. Around 9 pm, Keali started vomiting. She did this until about 2:30 am. At 3 am, Kalyn started vomiting. She did this until about 5:30 am. At 6 am, Keali started to have intestinal issues (I'll let you use your imagination...but it was BAD). Around 10 am, Kalyn started having intestinal issues. So, if it wasn't for Heath's Mom watching the girls so I could sleep for a couple hours this morning, I don't know what I would have done. I am so exhausted. I finally loaded the girls up on nausea and diahreah medicine and we put them in the car. They both slept the entire way home and we didn't have any problems in the car. I am happy to be home with them. When I am sick, I would prefer to be at home. There is little question that I will end up getting this, then Heath. It should be a fun 2-3 days for us!
The rain is amazing! Central Arkansas has gotten much more than it's share of rain lately. The ground is just saturated and many areas are flooded. For about 8 miles on the highway home, I couldn't see anything but water on either side of the road. I called Heath and told him I felt like I was driving on a highway in the middle of the ocean. Many people have lost their homes, and some people their lives. This is mostly farm land, so many people's livelihoods are at stake right now too. Please keep these people in your prayers. We need some sunshine for a few weeks!
