I have had such a horrible time sleeping the past few days. I have a difficult time falling asleep, then I can't stay asleep. Here it is 3:05 am and I have yet to fall asleep. It is unfortunate too because Mom, Amanda, and Jessica are coming to visit tomorrow (or rather later on today) and I will need to have energy to clean up the house before they arrive.
So our Saturday plans include cleaning up the house and cleaning up the house. Heath will be going to a friend's house Saturday night to watch a UFC fight so Saturday evening will just be the girls, my sisters, Mom, and me. It'll be nice. They are spending the night (or they are supposed to be, we will see) too so it'll be really fun for Kalyn. Kalyn scolded me all day Friday because we didn't watch Amanda play softball. She is really excited about seeing her Grandma and Aunts.
The rain we got Friday wasn't bad at all...our backyard did get really wet, but it wasn't stormy like it has been so often this month already! It was nice...in fact, it stopped raining in the late morning and didn't start again. We went to Sam's to buy diapers (I will be SO happy when Keali is potty trained, but no plans for that yet) and to walk around. Kalyn has one volume--LOUD. She can't speak in a normal or even...heaven forbid...a quiet voice. And she loves to sing when we go to stores. At the top of her lungs. Her favorite song to sing right now is "I Gotta Go My Own Way" from High School Musical 2. Only she doesn't say any of the words right. This is her version of the chorus: "I've got to hold on and behuyaymay. I've got to go on...I hope undersand. I've got to hold on and behuyamay. I gotta love and miss you." If you know that song...you know this isn't correct, but we can't tell her it is wrong. The screaming will start. And 'behuyamay?' Not even a word!! But she says it the same way every time she sings. She has also taken to singing her ABC as follows:
"A B C D H I G W X Y Z." She knows how to say them correctly but she refuses. This one makes Heath just plain mad. I can't even imagine being as stubborn as Kalyn is. It must come from Heath's side of the family because I don't think that I am stubborn at all! Heath can be stubborn sometimes. Kalyn is in a league of her own though.
Well...It is 3:16 now. I guess I should try to sleep again!
