We had a great playtime with Fresca this afternoon. I don't think anyone was hissed or snapped at. She kept fluffing all her feathers so she was very fluffy and soft--with the parrot family, that means she was basically purring. She let us pet her continuously and she loved it when I scratched her head. She closed her eyes and looked as though she was in heaven. Kalyn held her a few times with little terror. Keali on the other hand. PANIC...each time the bird got within a foot of her. Kind of funny. I am really falling in love with this bird. She gets better and better each day and is really beautiful. She has even been chirping to get our attention when she wants to play. Cool!
Today at church, the older primary children were asked to sing a 'quiet' song for the Priesthood and Relief Society joint meeting. They sang, "If Jesus Stood Beside Me" and it was beautiful. And I played it perfectly! That is rare. I usually flub my way through performances because of nerves.
I am preparing for my interview on Wednesday. If anyone has ideas for interview questions directed at me, let me know. They always throw out at least one question that completely surprises me. Give me anything you have! I want to be prepared. I am looking forward to the interview process. It is sort of weird though because I already know most of the people who will be interviewing me throughout the day. The last time I interviewed with people I already knew, they didn't treat it like a real interview and it was awkward. I don't think that will happen this time though. I am excited for it though.
Last night, Heath camped out at Walmart for two hours in his endless quest to obtain a Wii. He finally got it! He is really excited, and Kalyn is too. I think that the Wii is fun, and if we have to have a video gaming system in the house, at least this one encourages some activity. In May, an addition to it is going to become available called the Wii Fit, or something like that. It incourages physical fitness, and Heath wants to get it. He researched it and said that it should be really good to help us get in shape. I guess with his training and education...he should know! It'll be fun to see what it is like.
