Why do kids grow up so fast? Yesterday, Heath asked me why Jennifer was going to be in Arkansas in a couple weeks. I explained that she was bringing her old car to Elizabeth. Without missing a beat, Kalyn asked when Andrea was going to bring her a car. I told her she would have to talk to Andrea about that next time we see her.

One of Kalyn's favorite things is to brush away her 'scabity' (cavity) bugs. She then reminds the rest of us that we need to brush our scabity bugs too. While taking a bath this morning, I told Kalyn we needed to hurry to go get the new puppy. Kalyn said she just wanted to stay in the tub a while longer. I reiterated that we needed to get ready to go. She turned to me with her big hazel eyes and said, "can't you and Daddy just go by yourselves?" No. She thinks she is much older, stronger, wiser, more clever, than any of us. I guess it just comes along with a three year old. Three going on 24.
