Unfortunately, what I predicted yesterday actually happened. We had severe weather late afternoon and into the evening...including tornados. Unfortunately, some of the storms were deadly and there was a lot of damage. We didn't have it too bad...just a bad thunderstorm for a little while. My heart goes out to the families who have suffered losses.
When there is a tornado, you are supposed to get to the innermost part of your home/building, away from glass and outside walls. The only place in my house that fits that description is my hall closet...2x2 1/2 feet. Not much room. We didn't have to use it, but I can't imagine how cramped it would be. We could probably use the hallway too, but hopefully we don't ever have to.
Today the weather is cooler, drier, but a lot of people will have a lot of clean up to do. I heard on the radio that there are at least 13 deaths in Arkansas, and 27 so far since these series of storms hit the south. It is terrible.
