Not much has been happening around here other than the girls getting sick. Kalyn isn't feeling as bad as she did, but her voice is a bit horse (kind of cute, actually). Keali has been running a temperature and has been quite cuddly...she normally abhores snuggling. I am not complaining about her wanting to be held--I almost never get to hold her as closely as I would love to. Now I get my chance! I just wish she felt better.
I got ambitious and made mac and cheese from scratch for dinner; and bacon sandwiches (healthy--I know). Keali was eating really well. Just one mouthful after another then she got sick all over the floor. We cleaned the floor and her and then Heath started feeding her again! I told him not to. She didn't get sick because of choking...her stomach doesn't feel good. (For some reason, both of our daughters feel the need to projectile vomit when their throats get tickled, or they don't like the taste/texture of something they are eating.) He insisted that she was hungry and wanted to eat. Three minutes later it all came back up. Vindicated! I made him clean it up this time. And I insisted that she not eat anything else. I hate it when my babies are sick. They look so helpless and I feel helpless to ease them.
Coca-Cola has gotten very playful. He is SO cute. We got his 3rd round of puppy vaccinations on Monday and got him his microchip so we are safe if he ever takes off (I can't imagine a situation where he could; we watch him so closely). He was a bit sore for a day--and actually screamed at me when I got too close to the microchip. A lot of people don't think he looks like a chihuahua. He has floppy ears, they don't stand straight up. I am assured though by all the books/articles I have read that chihuahua ears don't necessarily stand up from birth. They will stand up on their own, in their own time. I like his floppy ears. He stands about six inches off the ground. We keep him at night in a pen that is 3 feet high. He is sooooo close to being able to jump out of it...I am not exagerating. He has an amazing leap. I am going to admit something that I may not ever admit again...I love this dog! I am a chihuahua person. If we didn't already have Krypto and Bernie, I might want to get another Mexican Rat!

One time a friend of mine brought in her new "chihuahua" to show us at work. It looked exactly like a rottweiler. Then she told us it was only 6 weeks or so old and we noticed his HUGE feet, and well... I'm pretty sure it wasn't a chihuahua. Keep an eye on those ears! J/K!

I'm a long hair dog person myself, but he is a cute one! Too wiggly for me though.

I've seen the pup and he is cute but what gets me is that everyone has all this time to spend on these bloggy pages.

with that much time I just go to sleep

No way! The triathlon is just one little thing. You inspire me so much as a mother. The selflessness that comes so naturally to you, has not been that way for me. I love to read how devoted you are to your children. Thanks for your example!
