It was a good weekend. Heath's team got smashed (who knew that would happen?), but we got to spend some good time with our family. About two hours after we got to Jonesboro I started feeling a tickle in my throat. I brushed it off, willing it to be nothing. By the time we got home from eating dinner I couldn't ignore it anymore. My throat was sore. I kept hoping it was nothing, but it kept getting worse.
So I was sick the whole weekend, but now I am even worse. At least I am home now though. I think it is worse to be sick when you are away from home.
I was able to catch up with some friends though, and spend time with family. The best part? Watching Kalyn and Keali interact with all of the family. They get so excited and happy around our extended family. The worst part? Kealita is getting sick too. I hate it when my kids or Heath is sick. It hurts my heart when my kids are uncomfortable and there is nothing I can do about it but hold them and give them medicine.
Thanksgiving is only a bit over a week away! Hopefully we will all be healthy for it.
