I am destined to never fall asleep before 2 am again. Last night was the worst so far. Keali fell asleet around 10 pm, but then woke up again at 10:30. Around 11:30 I finally just put her in her crib. Kalyn wouldn't go to sleep and after an hour of having her move around in my bed talking (I didn't want her in her own room until Keali fell asleep), I finally got up and took her to the living room so that Heath could sleep...he is the one who has to go out to work every day.
About 2:10 Kalyn fell asleep on the floor. I took her into her room, placed her in bed and left. I went back to the living room to turn off the lights when Kalyn started SCREAMING, "Oh no, oh no, oh no!" I then heard the train whistle. I ran back to her room grabbed her and took her into my room to get her to calm down, but it was too late. Keali was awake! I tried to let her just cry herself back to sleep, but her cry was a heartbroken one, so I couldn't leave her alone. I got her and went back to the living room to feed her. After about half an hour she was alseep again.
I returned both girls to their own beds, but when I put Kalyn down, she woke up (though I think she was still partly asleep). She asked me to read her a story so I sat by her bed holding her hand and read her "Snow White." She fell asleep pretty fast so I was finally able to go to bed a little after 3 am. I held my breath everytime I heard a train, and ultimately Kalyn stayed in her own bed until about 7 am. Heath got up with the girls this morning and let me sleep in a bit so I am not completely exhausted.
I was just watching a commercial for David Letterman. He was saying he needed advice on potty training. I do to! Kalyn will NOT allow herself to be completely potty trained. She goes when and where she wants to. This has to change now! Seriously, she has outgrown diapers. She has even started to outgrow pull-ups. The rip just being on her body because she is too big. I don't know what to do. I am so tired of changing two sets of dirty diapers. Help!
I read the cutested thing in a magazine I get. I'll post it later.
