I was reading my cousin’s blog the other day and saw the cutest thing!  Freezer paper screenprinting.  So, I hopped in the car, drove to Hobby Lobby and made these the other night.  All it took was freezer paper, fabric paint & glitter, an iron, and my handy dandy Cricut.  They aren’t perfect, but I had a blast making them!

Today is Kynan and Kaci’s birthday party.  They won’t be one until next Wednesday, but I’m not really ready for them to be a year old!  It was on this day last year that I was put on bed rest.  I’ve been having flashbacks for a couple weeks now—that hasn’t happened for a few months and it is causing problems for me.  I’m concerned it will get worse as we get closer to the 20th, but I don’t think there is anything I can do about it.  My PTSD has been being treated for nine months or so, but the symptoms are resurfacing.  Yuck.

I read on someone’s facebook status the other day that Mother Nature must be in menopause because she keeps having hot flashes.  It is the middle of October and still reaching 90 degrees on some days!  Augh!  It is supposed to be autumn.  It is supposed to be cool.  We are supposed to have football weather and football season is quickly coming to a close!  I’m getting concerned that we will never get autumn and will go straight to winter.  It’s a shame because I love autumn.

Bryan moved in with us for a couple months last Sunday.  The kids are having to adjust—but some of the adjustments have been really funny!  Kalyn was talking to Bryan the other day.  He didn’t understand something she said, and she rolled her eyes when he asked and said, “it’s okay.  You are new.”

Keali drew a picture of her home at school on Monday.  She drew the apartment and seven people.  Her teacher knows that there are only six of us, so Keali had to explain that “a guy moved in, but he doesn’t really belong there.”  Mrs. Theresa was very confused!

Heath and I attended Kalyn’s parent teacher conference the other week.  Of course, our daughter was once again confirmed to be a genius.  She is so smart!  In talking with Keali’s teacher, she says that Keali is remarkably smart too.  She is one of the youngest students in her class, but is testing above all of the other children.  It’s hard being the mom of super smarties!  Just kidding, but really…they even know they are smart and believe they are smarter than me.  Maybe they are—but I don’t need to be reminded of it.
