I’m sitting in training.  Again!  I can’t believe we are so close to the end of July already!  Today is student conduct day.  I’ve been through this before, but I’m here because the presenters are just so much fun!  No seriously.  They are a lot of fun.

We are preparing to go to our retreat towards the end of this week.  It is going to be HOT!!  The temperature prediction for each day we will be there is 98-99 degrees.  That isn’t including the heat index.  It is going to be miserable!  But I am so excited!  Why? You ask?

High Ropes. 

I get to do a high ropes course this year.  I missed out last year thanks to a high-risk pregnancy.  This year—no such conflict.  I get to got up high. 

I say I am excited now.  I may get up there and completely freeze up.  I don’t know.  My head knows I will be completely safe, but I may have to convince my body of that.  We will see—but as of now—I am thrilled!  Even though it will be outside in the scorching heat/humidity.

I’ll miss my kids.  Heath will miss me.  We will get through it though.  I’m very blessed to have a supportive husband who is also an exceptional father.
