Last night was great!  I had a much, much, much needed girls night out with some friends.

We had planned on going to Olive Garden and to watch When In Rome.  Olive Garden just opened up here a couple weeks ago and has been nearly impossible to get in to.  We arrived, but the wait was an hour and fifteen minutes.  We just didn’t have that kind of time so we went to Hiro instead—a Japanese/Sushi place.

Now, I’m not a huge fan of sushi, but there are some types I like.  I ordered my usual Philly roll and a spicy crunchy roll that I hadn’t tried before.  The spicy crunchy roll is my new favorite.  I loved it.  I feel like the older I get the better I enjoy spicy food.

Anyway, we ordered our food just before 7, and the movie started at 7:10, so we obviously didn’t make it.  But it was so great to just talk and hang out.  A much needed break from Mommy hood.

Kayla and Bryan agreed to babysit my four favorite kids so I could go out (Heath was at work).  When they came into the apartment it was a MESS.  I gave them the quick rules and instructions for the kids then jokingly said, “and feel free to clean as much as you want.”  They cleaned my apartment and even did laundry!  I was slightly embarrassed that the house was so messy and they cleaned it, but SO appreciative too!  It was so nice to walk into a clean environment and sleeping children.

They said that Kalyn and Keali even went to bed well.  How exciting!  I’m gonna have to go out more often and get Kayla and Bryan to babysit.

Heath had gotten home shortly before I did and we were able to spend some time together before I had to go to bed.

This morning was the first time this week and Kalyn, Keali, and the babies had to go to their schools.

AND

IT

WAS

A

STRUGGLE

And that’s all I’m going to write about that.  I’ll get too irritated if I think about it any longer.

So now I am eating lunch in my office (leftovers from last night) and realizing that sushi is MUCH easier to eat with chop sticks than with a fork.

I recently discovered that I too love spicy foods. I think it started with the flamin' cheetos and has just exploded since then. Buffalo wings, super spicy chili...I love it. Who knew?
